There are four ways you can bid with Rago’s
One will be right for you. We’ll need your contact information and some credit information.
1. Leave bid(s) now. Leaving a bid in advance is the easiest way to bid at auction and will be familiar to all who buy on eBay. Using MY BID SHEET, just select your lots online, then fill in the maximum amount you are willing to pay. The Rago auctioneer represents you during the sale, opening the bidding for you at the lowest possible selling price. If no one bids against him/you, you get the lot at the opening bid. If there is competition, the auctioneer will bid for you until the other person drops out and you win or until the bid goes past your max. (You can also call us toll free at 866-724-6278 to place your absentee phone bids or fax in the bid form below.)

2. Bid by phone during the auction. Using MY BID SHEET, just select your lots online, then choose the “bid by phone” option. Fill in the required information and you are set. An agent from Rago’s will call you a few minutes before your lot is to be sold, at the phone number you have designated. Your agent is your advocate in the room - your eyes, ears and voice. She or he will tell you the amount you need to bid. You will say “yes” to show your consent to continue bidding until the lot is yours or you’ll stop your agent by saying “no”. (You can also call us toll free at 866-724-6278 to place your phone bids.)

3. Bid online during the auction. If you choose to bid online, you can connect with the independent online bidding service with which Rago works. Click on the logos below to link. You will register to bid on Live Auctioneers. A small percentage of registrants will be contacted by the auction house for additional credit information. Most will be automatically approved to bid. When you win a lot, Live Auctioneers will let us know so we can arrange payment and delivery. Remember that on Live Auctioneers, buyer’s premium in the amount of 28% of the successful high bid will be levied. A cash discount of 3% off the 28% buyer’s premium will be applied for property purchased by cash, check, wire transfer or money order if payment is received within 15 days of sale. This effectively lowers the 28% buyer’s premium to 25%. No discount will be taken off the lower buyer’s premium apportioned for lots that sell at $75,001 and above.
4. Bid in person at the auction house. We love having our bidders with us in the room. Register online and when you arrive at the auction house, check in at the front desk and get your paddle. We open a few hours before the auction begins so you can preview while you are here, too.
